The old colonial architecture instantly captivated me with its nostalgic charm and elegance. Waking up to the stunning view of the lake was a dream come true! I also adored the amazing breakfast spread that perfectly combined Sri Lankan flavors with delicious Western options.

The room had a stunning view of the lake, and despite a few hiccups, the ambiance is quite captivating—just be wary of the monkeys that might show up on your balcony unexpectedly!

Check-in was a mess. we arrived early and were kept waiting over two hours, which really messed with our plans. The room felt like it hadn’t seen a decent upkeep in a while, with a hint of dampness that was hard to ignore. When we tried to grab a bite at the buffet, they had run out of food because of groups, and even after asking, we got no follow-up. If you're after a reliable dining experience, it may be a gamble here.
